瓜のソムタム

先日、おかしな形の瓜を買った。日持ちがするというのだ。
長持ちするのなら、買っておいてもいいな。
そんな単純な気持ちでその瓜を買った。



期待もしないで瓜を齧ったら、甘みがあって美味しい。
「ヌチャナート、食べてごらん」
「あら、美味しいじゃない」
こんなことならもっと買って置けばよかった。
「この瓜をソムタムにしたら美味しいと思うな」
「今日、作るわ」
今日はソムタムを食べることにした。
唐辛子は一本だけにしてもらった。
俺にはこれでも辛いが、この位の辛さなら耐えられる。
想像していた通り、この瓜のソムタムは美味しい。
